What is your cancellation policy?

We have the best cancellation policy inPunta Cana. You can cancel any reservation 48 hours before the start and receive a refund (minus the banking costs), after that you have to pay for each golf cart one night. There are however exceptions for Christmas/New Year and Easter. For these holidays you need to cancel reservations earlier than 48 hours to get a refund (minus the banking costs). Please check our Rental Agreement for current conditions. 

How do I charge a golf cart?

You just plugin the charging cable in a regular electrical outlet of your villa or apartment. Just like your phone charger. Each golf cart has an onboard charger, so no need for a visit to a charging station. Need more instructions? Visit our charging manual.

Are your rental golf carts provided with extension cords for charging?

Yes, each golf cart rental has 1 extension cord included in your rental. Always check how far your golf cart is parked from the outlet. Sometimes you need two extensions to charge your golf cart. Feel free to reach out for extra extension cords. 

What is the minimum age for driving golf carts?

You need to be 18 years old and have a valid driver license. Please note that you need to pay an security deposit when you are 24 years old or younger. You rental agreement will contain all conditions applied to your rental. 

Do you rent gasoline golf carts?

No, we don’t rent gasoline golf carts. Eco Planeta has only electric golf carts with mostly lithium batteries. For almost 100% of our clients the range is more than enough. Very rarely clients use more than 80% of the charge. Plus our luxury electric golf carts are faster and much quieter and very easy to charge. Just plug the extension in an outlet you are good to go!

How many people fit on a golf cart?

Eco Planeta offers 4 and 6 person golf carts and in limited numbers we have 2 and 8 person golf carts available. Please make sure to never operate a golf cart with more persons on board than intended. This is dangerous and can damage the vehicle. All caused damages are at your expense. 

Am I allowed to drive on public roads in Punta Cana?

No, you are not allowed by law to drive on public roads in Punta Cana. You always need to stay with the golf cart inside the resort where the golf cart was delivered to you. 

Why does Eco Planeta work with digital keys via an mobile app?

We are currently transitioning from universal physical keys to Eco Planeta IQ. That means that you lock and unlock your rented vehicle with our mobile app. It works via Internet and Bluetooth. You can also easily share digital keys with friends and family members via email. The reason we use Eco Planeta IQ is because it prevent people from losing physical keys and paying for it. Another reason is that it makes your golf cart much more secure and prevents misuse of your rental golf cart by unauthorized people.
