A full charge covers roughly 50 kilometres, which is more than a day of riding for most guests. Recharging is a normal wall outlet and the cable in the box.

Every rental comes with a chain lock and a charging cable, so you can park the bike safely and top it up overnight without buying anything extra.

A local team behind the bike

Our technicians are in Casa de Campo, not at the end of a call centre queue. If something goes wrong we fix the bike, and if we cannot fix it quickly we replace it.

Do you deliver e-bikes to the whole of Casa de Campo?

Yes. We deliver anywhere inside Casa de Campo free of charge and collect the bikes again when your rental ends. Give us the villa or hotel address and your preferred delivery time when you book.

Does Eco Planeta give e-bike rental discounts?

Yes. Your discount is calculated automatically when you book online, based on the number of days you rent: the longer the rental, the bigger the discount. We also publish discount codes from time to time that add an extra discount at checkout.

What is included in the rental?

The e-bike, a chain lock and a charging cable. Delivery and pickup are included as well.

Where am I allowed to ride the e-bike?

On the normal roads inside Casa de Campo, which have a speed limit of 50 km/h. Take care when you share the road with traffic that moves faster than you do.

Can I leave Casa de Campo with the e-bike?

No. Our e-bikes are for use inside Casa de Campo only.

Am I allowed to use the e-bike on the beach?

No. Never ride our e-bikes on the beach. Sand and salt water damage the bike, and the repair cost is charged to the renter.

What is the range of the e-bike?

Roughly 50 kilometres. The exact range depends on your speed, how many people are on the bike and whether you pedal along.

What is the top speed of the e-bikes?

The top speed of our e-bikes is capped at 30 km/h.

Can I use the e-bike without pedalling?

Yes. Use the throttle button and the e-bike moves without pedalling, which makes it behave much like a moped.

How can I charge the battery?

Every e-bike is delivered with a charging cable that plugs into a normal outlet. It works just like charging your phone.

How many people are allowed on your e-bikes?

We have two types of e-bike: one carries a single rider and the other carries two. Never carry more people than the bike you rented is built for, because any damage that results is charged to the renter.

How do I lock the e-bike?

Every e-bike comes with a chain lock. Always chain the bike to something fixed, such as a lamppost or a fence, when you park it.

What should I do if I get a flat tire, the battery dies or I have another problem during my ride?

Contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp at +1 829-947-0210. We send one of our experienced technicians to fix the e-bike as soon as possible, and if a quick repair is not possible we replace the bike. Our Casa de Campo team is ready to help.

Riding an E-Bike in Casa de Campo

Casa de Campo covers more than 7,000 acres, which is exactly why so few of its destinations are within walking distance. The Marina, Playa Minitas, Altos de Chavón, the supermarket and the golf courses are all a ride apart, and an e-bike covers those distances in minutes without the parking problem that comes with a car.

The resort's roads are quiet and well surfaced, with a 50 km/h limit that our bikes sit comfortably under. Fat tires and suspension deal with the speed bumps and the occasional rough patch, and the throttle means a hill on the way back from dinner is not a reason to arrive out of breath.

Casa de Campo Marina: restaurants, shops and the departure point for Isla Saona day trips.
Playa Minitas: the resort's private beach, an easy ride from most villa areas.
Altos de Chavón: the replica sixteenth century village above the Chavón river, with its amphitheatre and viewpoints.

If you are travelling with a group or need to carry more than a beach bag, a golf cart rental in Casa de Campo may suit you better. Plenty of guests rent both.
