Accessibility Statement

Eco Planeta wants everyone to be able to use ecoplaneta.com, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. This statement applies to the English, Spanish and Dutch pages of the website.

Our goal

We aim for the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with disabilities.

What we do

  • Images have a text alternative, and purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Every link, button and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Text and controls have enough colour contrast against their background.
  • Form fields have a label that tells you what to enter.
  • Headings follow a logical order, and each page declares its language.
  • We test pages with automated accessibility checks when we change the design or add new features, and fix the problems we find.

Current status

The website partially meets WCAG 2.1 level AA. Most of our own pages are designed and tested to meet it, but some content does not fully meet the standard yet. The known gaps are listed below.

Known limitations

  • Content from other companies. Some pages show Google Maps, YouTube videos and a customer reviews widget from EmbedSocial. These load from the providers' own servers, and we cannot fully control how accessible they are. Store addresses, phone numbers and opening hours are always available as text on our contact page.
  • Online booking. The booking form on the rental pages is a separate booking system embedded in the page. If you have trouble using it, contact us and we will take your booking by phone, email or WhatsApp.
  • PDF documents. Product specification sheets are PDF files, often supplied by the manufacturer, and may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we will send you the information in another format.
