Fork descent cushioning
Noblelift's fork descent cushioning system is a key safety feature: as the forks come down and approach the floor, they decelerate automatically in a controlled, smooth motion. It prevents damage, improves operating safety and comfort, and without it the working life of the equipment would be considerably shorter.

What is a reach truck?
A reach truck, also called a retractable mast truck, is a material handling machine built mainly for narrow aisle warehouse work. Its defining feature is a pantograph mechanism or a travelling mast that extends the forks forward into the racking, so a pallet can be placed or retrieved without moving the whole vehicle.
What is a reach truck mainly used for?
Making the most of your storage space. Because it works in aisles as narrow as 2.4 metres and lifts to heights that can pass 10 metres, a reach truck suits high density storage, distribution centres and warehouses with tall racking, double deep racking on the double reach models, and precise manoeuvring in tight spaces where a counterbalanced forklift cannot work efficiently.
What types of reach truck are there?
Single reach is the most common, designed to reach the first pallet position in a rack. Double reach, or deep reach, carries a longer pantograph and reaches the second position in double deep racking, which squeezes more out of the same floor. On travelling mast models the whole mast moves forward instead. Stand-up models let the operator step on and off quickly for picking, while sit-down models are more comfortable over long shifts.
How much does a reach truck weigh?
Noblelift reach trucks have a service weight of roughly 3,200 kg to 4,220 kg depending on the model, and a higher capacity lithium battery adds to that. Service weight matters because it is what keeps the machine stable when a load is lifted high. It varies with three things: rated capacity, since a heavier chassis and counterweight are needed to stay stable; mast height, because a three or four stage mast weighs considerably more than a standard one; and the battery, which accounts for roughly 20% to 30% of the total.
Do you stock reach trucks?
Not as standing inventory. Reach trucks are specified against your racking and ordered from Noblelift, so lead time depends on the configuration. Contact us and we will confirm the current lead time for your specification.
How narrow an aisle can a reach truck work in?
A reach truck typically works in an aisle around half the width a counterbalanced forklift of the same capacity needs. The exact figure depends on the model, the pallet size and whether you run single or double deep racking.
Reach truck or electric stacker?
A stacker is cheaper, simpler and fine for lower racking and lighter pallets. A reach truck goes considerably higher, handles heavier pallets and is ridden rather than walked behind, so it is the better choice for tall racking and high pick rates.
Can a reach truck load a truck or container?
No. The straddle legs stop it from driving up to a trailer floor. Truck and container loading needs a counterbalanced forklift.
