Which Manlift Do You Need?
Three questions settle it: how high, what is in the way, and what the ground looks like.
Straight up over a flat floor: scissor lift
Ceiling work, lighting, ducting, sprinklers, painting and stock picking on concrete, tile or asphalt. The platform is big enough for two people and their materials, it sets up in seconds and it costs the least per day. It is not a rough terrain machine, and it cannot reach out past its own base beyond the 0.9 m extension deck.
Up and over something: articulated boom lift
The jointed arm clears an obstacle and comes back down onto the work: over a machine on a plant floor, past a canopy on a hotel facade, into a gap a straight boom cannot enter. Compact footprint, tight turning circle, electric, so it works indoors. Three sizes from 11.3 m to 22.5 m.
High, far, or across bad ground: telescopic boom lift
The straight boom puts the platform the furthest for the money. Four wheel drive and a chassis levelling system handle uneven outdoor terrain. 28.3 m of working height and a 450 kg platform.
Lifting a load, not a person: telehandler
When the job is moving materials up and out rather than putting a person at height, a telehandler does what a forklift cannot: 4,000 kg, 7 m of lift, four wheel drive. Diesel, so outdoors only.

How a Manlift Rental Works
From your first message to a machine on site, in four steps.

Tell us the job and the dates
Send us the working height, what the platform has to carry, whether the work is indoors or outdoors, what the ground is like, and when you need the machine from and until. A photo of the site and the access route helps.

We match a machine and quote it
Based on the height, the obstacles and the ground, we pick the boom, scissor or telehandler that fits, then send you a written quote with the rate, the delivery cost and what is included. Longer rentals get a lower daily rate.

Delivery and handover
We deliver from the nearest store on our own transport, charge the machine, and walk your operators through the controls, the pre-start checks, the emergency lowering and daily charging before anyone goes up.

We collect when you are done
At the end of the rental we pick the machine up. If the job runs over, tell us and we extend the term. If you want to keep it permanently, we quote a purchase.
What a Rental Includes
A rental from Eco Planeta covers the machine itself, its batteries and charger, delivery and collection, and scheduled maintenance carried out by our technicians on your site. If something fails during the term, we come to the machine and repair it there.
Operators are not included. Your team runs the machine, and we show them the controls and the safety checks at handover. Harnesses and lanyards for boom lift platforms, fuel for the telehandler, and anything specific to your site such as ground protection mats or a night time delivery slot are set out on the quote, so there is nothing to discover after you have signed.
Your site supplies the power for charging. The scissor lifts and boom lifts charge from an ordinary socket overnight, and we confirm what each machine needs before delivery.

Where in the Dominican Republic do you rent manlifts?
Nationwide. Machines go out from our stores in Casa de Campo, Cap Cana, Bayahibe, Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo, which between them cover the eastern resort belt, the capital, Santiago, La Romana and the north coast. Send us the delivery address and we quote from the closest one.
How much does it cost to rent a boom lift or a scissor lift?
It depends on the machine, the length of the rental and the delivery distance, so there is no single list price. An 8 m scissor lift for a week and a 28 m telescopic boom for a year sit at opposite ends of the range. Send us the working height and the dates and we will send a written quote.
What is the minimum rental period?
We rent by the day, by the week, by the month and on long term contracts. Very short rentals depend on availability and the delivery distance, so tell us the dates and we will confirm what is possible.
Which machine do I need for my job?
Work from three things: the working height, whether anything stands between the machine and the work, and what the ground is like. Straight up over a flat floor is a scissor lift. Up and over an obstacle is an articulated boom. High, far or across rough ground is the telescopic boom. Send us those three and a photo and we specify it.
What is the difference between working height and platform height?
Platform height is how high the floor of the platform goes. Working height adds roughly 2 m for the reach of the person standing on it, and it is the number manufacturers quote. Our 10 m scissor lift puts the platform at about 8 m and your hands at 10 m. Tell us the height of the thing you need to touch and we work back from there.
Do you deliver and collect?
Yes. We deliver to your site on our own transport, hand the machine over with a walkthrough for your operators, and collect it when the rental ends. Access details such as gate widths, ramps, floor loading and where the machine will be charged go on the quote.
Is an operator included?
No. Your team operates the machine. At handover we go through the controls, the pre-start checks and the emergency lowering procedure. Boom lift operators must wear a harness clipped to the platform anchor point, and your site's safety rules apply on top of that.
Can the machines work indoors?
The scissor lifts and boom lifts can. They are electric, so there are no exhaust fumes, and they run quietly enough for hotels, hospitals and shopping centres. The limits indoors are usually floor loading and door height rather than the machine, so tell us both. The telehandler is diesel and stays outside.
Can a manlift work on rough ground?
The telescopic boom and the telehandler can: both are four wheel drive and built for construction and farm ground. The scissor lifts and the articulated booms need hard, level ground such as concrete or asphalt. Soft or waterlogged ground has to be assessed before any machine is set up on it.
What happens if the machine stops working?
Call us and a mobile technician comes to the machine. We hold the largest stock of electric vehicle and material handling parts in the country, so most faults are fixed on the spot rather than after an import.
Can I rent a manlift and a forklift together?
Yes, and on construction and fit-out sites it is the usual order: a scissor or boom lift for the work at height and a forklift or telehandler for the materials. Put both on one request and we quote and deliver them together.
Can I buy the machine at the end of the rental?
Yes. We sell the same Noblelift models new with a one year warranty and financing through Banco Popular Dominicano, and we can quote a purchase at any point during the rental. A rental is a good way to confirm the size before you commit.
