How Does Financing Work

Four steps from picking your manlift to working at height.

  1. 1

    Select the machine you need

All new boom lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers from Eco Planeta are eligible for financing, as are used machines up to two years old. Not sure which type fits? Tell us the working height, what the platform has to carry and whether the job is indoors or outdoors, and we will specify it for you.

  2. 2

Pay a 15% downpayment to reserve it

To reserve a machine that is in inventory, on its way to the Dominican Republic, or still in production, you pay a 15% downpayment.

  3. 3

We send your quote to the bank

After receiving the downpayment we send your quote to Banco Popular. You choose a loan of 6, 12 or 24 months, and the bank reaches out to you to complete the approval process.

  4. 4

After approval your manlift is delivered

Once the bank approves your finance application we deliver the machine directly to your site, when it is in inventory. You then pay the monthly installments to the bank until the loan and interest are repaid.

Manlift Financing FAQ

Who provides the financing?

Financing is provided by Banco Popular Dominicano. Eco Planeta prepares and submits your quote to the bank, and the bank contacts you directly to complete the approval process.

Which machines can be financed?

All new telescopic boom lifts, articulated boom lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers sold by Eco Planeta are eligible, as are used machines up to two years old. Used equipment older than two years cannot be financed.

How much downpayment do I need?

A 15% downpayment is required on every financing term. The downpayment reserves your machine, whether it is in inventory, in transit to the Dominican Republic, or still in production.

What interest rates apply?

The rate depends on the term you choose: 12.9% over 6 months, 11% over 12 months, and 9.5% over 24 months.

Which currency is the loan in?

Financing is available in US dollars only. Both the loan and the monthly installments are denominated in USD.

Can I finance several machines at once?

Yes. Multiple units can be placed on a single quote, which suits contractors equipping a site with a boom lift and a scissor lift at the same time. Tell us how many machines you need and we will build the quote before it goes to the bank.

Should I finance or rent?

It comes down to how long the machine stays busy. For a single project with a fixed end date, renting a manlift is usually cheaper. For maintenance work that recurs all year, financing puts the machine on your books for a monthly payment and it is available the moment you need it. We do both, so tell us the workload and we will price the honest comparison.

When is my manlift delivered?

After the bank approves your finance application we deliver the machine directly to your site, provided it is in inventory. Units still in transit or in production are delivered once they arrive.
