Forklift Rental in Puerto Plata
Eco Planeta rents lithium electric forklifts across Puerto Plata and the north coast, delivered to your warehouse, plant or resort and collected at the end of the term. Our Puerto Plata store at Playa Dorada serves the whole region.
The north coast combines resorts, a working commercial port, a cruise terminal and a free zone, with agriculture and distribution behind them. Rental demand here follows the season and the projects: extra capacity through high season, a machine for a refurbishment, or cover while an owned unit is being serviced.
Our rental fleet is new Noblelift equipment running on lithium batteries: opportunity charging during breaks, no watering, no battery room and no fumes indoors.
Full technical specifications for every model are on the forklift range page, and the counterbalanced forklift page explains where this type of machine is the right choice.
Why Rent Your Forklift from Eco Planeta?
We have sold, rented and serviced electric material handling equipment in the Dominican Republic since 2011. The machine and the support behind it come from the same place.
Delivered and collected
We deliver the forklift to your site in Puerto Plata and collect it at the end of the rental. No transport to arrange, no trip to a depot, and no machine left on your hands when the job finishes.
A new lithium fleet
Our rental machines are new Noblelift equipment running on lithium batteries. Charging happens from an ordinary socket during breaks, with no watering, no battery room and no acid handling.
Short term or long term
Rent for a project of a few weeks or sign a multi month contract. Longer terms carry a lower effective daily rate, and we will quote both so you can compare.
Technicians who come to you
Scheduled service and repairs are carried out on your site by our mobile technicians. A rented machine is not your maintenance problem, it is ours.
The biggest parts inventory in the country
Downtime costs more than the repair. We hold the largest stock of material handling parts in the Dominican Republic, so most jobs are done without waiting on an import.
No capital outlay
Rental keeps the machine in your operating budget instead of your capital plan. If you later decide to buy, we sell the same equipment and can arrange financing in US dollars.
The Rental Fleet
Noblelift lithium electric counterbalanced forklifts from 1,600 kg to 8,000 kg, with mast heights from 2,500 mm to 6,500 mm and side-shift forks where the work calls for them. Filter by capacity, or send us the load and the lift height and we will specify the machine for you.

Other Material Handling Equipment
A counterbalanced forklift is not always the right machine. For narrow aisles, light stacking or moving pallets across a flat floor, one of these is usually the better fit.
Reach Trucks
Narrow aisle lifting to heights a counterbalanced forklift cannot reach in the same footprint.
Electric Stackers
Compact, manoeuvrable and lithium powered, for stacking and retrieving loads where a full forklift cannot go.
Electric Pallet Jacks
Lithium powered pallet handling for busy warehouses, supermarkets and distribution centres.
Manual Pallet Jacks
Reliable, durable and built for daily warehouse and logistics use, across a wide range of load capacities.

Forklift Rental FAQ for Puerto Plata
Do you deliver rental forklifts in Puerto Plata?
Yes. We deliver to your site from our Puerto Plata store on the main road at Playa Dorada, and collect the machine at the end of the rental. Send us the delivery address, your dates and any access restrictions, such as gate height or a loading dock, and we will confirm the arrangement with the quote.
How much does it cost to rent a forklift in Puerto Plata?
The rate depends on the capacity, the mast height, the length of the rental and the delivery distance, so there is no single list price. Tell us what you need to lift, how high and for how long, and we will send a written quote quickly.
How long can I rent a forklift for?
From a couple of weeks for a project up to multi year contracts. Short term suits refits, seasonal peaks and cover for a machine that is out of service. Long term suits an operation that needs the capacity permanently but prefers not to buy.
What is included in the rental?
The forklift, its lithium battery and charger, and scheduled maintenance carried out by our technicians on your site. Operators are not included, and the site provides the power for charging. Anything else is set out on the quote so there are no surprises.
Which capacity forklift do I need?
Take the heaviest load you handle, add the weight of the pallet or attachment, and allow for the load centre: loads that sit further out from the fork face reduce the rated capacity. Send us the load, the lift height and the aisle width and we will specify the machine for you.
Can I charge a rental forklift at my site?
Yes. The chargers run off normal site power, and because the batteries are lithium they can be topped up during breaks without shortening battery life. We confirm the supply your site needs before delivery, so nothing is a surprise on the day.
What happens if the machine breaks down?
Call us and our mobile technicians come to the machine. Because we hold the largest material handling parts inventory in the country, most repairs are completed without waiting on an imported part.
Can I buy the forklift instead of renting?
Yes. We sell the same Noblelift machines with a one year warranty and a five year warranty on the lithium battery, and financing is available in US dollars through Banco Popular Dominicano over 6, 12 or 24 months with a 15% downpayment. Ask us for a purchase quote at any point during a rental.
Do you rent equipment other than forklifts?
Yes. Alongside counterbalanced forklifts we handle reach trucks, electric stackers, electric pallet jacks, aerial work platforms and cleaning equipment. If you need several types on one site, put them on one request and we will quote them together.
Do you rent forklifts to hotels and port operations on the north coast?
Yes. We rent to resorts, distributors and industrial operations across the region, and our Puerto Plata store at Playa Dorada is close to most of them. Tell us where the machine will work, indoors, outdoors or both, and we will specify tyres and mast accordingly.
Do you also cover Sosúa, Cabarete and Santiago from Puerto Plata?
Yes. Sosúa and Cabarete are on the same coastal route, and Santiago is roughly an hour inland. All three are served from our Puerto Plata store, with delivery, collection and on-site service included in the arrangement.
Renting a Forklift in Puerto Plata
Puerto Plata is the main city of the north coast, with a commercial port, the Amber Cove cruise terminal, a free zone and the resort areas of Playa Dorada, Sosúa and Cabarete. Agriculture and distribution across the Cibao feed into the same corridor.
Our Puerto Plata store on the main road at Playa Dorada covers this region and also supports Santiago, roughly an hour inland. Rental machines are delivered to your site, and scheduled service is carried out there by our mobile technicians rather than by transporting the forklift.
Where we deliver
We deliver rental forklifts across Puerto Plata, Playa Dorada, Sosúa, Cabarete and the surrounding north coast, and we serve Santiago and the Cibao from the same store.
