Hyster Forklift Alternative
Hyster is an American forklift manufacturer and one of the biggest brands in the world, very popular in the Dominican Republic. But one of the brands that has grown the most over the past 10 years is Noblelift. Noblelift builds high quality forklifts at lower prices.
In this article we compare the Hyster J2.5UT(L) with the Noblelift FE4P25Q.
Feature Overview
| Specification | Noblelift FE4P25Q | Hyster J2.5UT(L) |
|---|---|---|
| Price | USD$22,873 (excl. ITBIS) | 10% to 30% more expensive |
| Power source | Lithium battery 80V 400Ah | Lithium battery 48V 600Ah |
| Capacity | 2500 KG | 2500 KG |
| Mast height | up to 6530 mm | up to 6000 mm |
| Warranty | one year (extended available) | two years (extended available) |
Greater Battery Capacity
The Noblelift has more battery capacity than the Hyster. The Noblelift carries a total of 32 kWh against 28.8 kWh on the Hyster. If you run long shifts, the Noblelift is the better choice.
Load Capacity and Lift Height
There is no difference in load capacity. Both handle 2500 kg. There is a difference in lift height, though. The Noblelift reaches up to 6530 mm and the Hyster only 6000 mm. So if you have a tall warehouse, the Noblelift is the better choice.
Operating Costs
Both forklifts are electric and run on lithium batteries. That means both have low maintenance costs, because the battery needs no maintenance and there are fewer moving parts than in a combustion forklift. The Noblelift does have lower operating costs, because its spare parts are 10% to 30% cheaper.
Pricing
Lithium prices have dropped significantly over the past 10 years, which makes lithium forklifts very attractive. Large differences between brands remain, however. Hyster runs 10% to 30% more expensive than Noblelift depending on the options, which makes Noblelift the more economical choice.
Ergonomics
Both forklifts give operators good ergonomics. From the seat, the operator has clear visibility of the surroundings, the instrument panel and the controls. Both vehicles have an LCD display and offer seat and steering adjustment. On ergonomics they are very close.
Conclusion
If you want a cheaper forklift with better specifications than a Hyster, choose a Noblelift. They cost less, carry a higher capacity battery, have lower operating costs and offer a taller mast.
