Does Eco Planeta give rental discounts?
Yes, we do give rental discounts. These discounts are based on the amount of nights you rent. The longer your rental period is, the more discount you get. Your discount is automatically calculated in the booking flow. Separately we have sometimes discount codes for specific rental periods. You can find these discount codes on the booking page in the product details.
How old do you need to be to be able to rent a golf cart?
If you want to rent a golf cart, the minimum age is 18 years old. All drivers also need to be 18 years old at a minimum.
How fast are your golf carts?
Our golf carts have a top speed between the 36 kph and 40 kph. This programmed speed is the best balance between speed and safety.
What is the range of your golf carts?
Our electric golf carts have the longest range in the market. Our golf carts with lead acid batteries have a range of around 50 KM and our golf carts with lithium batteries of a range of around 90 KM. Keep in mind that range depends on speed, terrain and the amount of passenger. Most clients don’t drive more than 10 KM per day.
What type of golf carts do you rent?
Normally 95% of our rental fleet is electric. We rent 2, 4, 6 and 8 person golf carts. And we have lifted and non-lifted.
How long does it take to charge an electric golf cart?
Our lead acid golf carts take around 8-10 hours to charge from a 0% charge. Our lihtium golf carts need around 4 to 5 hours. We recommend charging your golf carts always when not in use and overnight. Most client need way less time to charge, because most clients don’t drive more than 10 KM per day (based on our experience since 2011).
How do you charge a golf cart?
Each golf cart is delivery with a charging cable. This charging cable works with regular outlets, just like your phone. If you outlet is of of reach of the charging cable, please reach out to use. We offer extensions for the charging cables.
Where are you allowed to drive golf carts in the Dominican Republic?
You are allowed to operate golf carts in Casa de Campo, Cap Cana, Punta Cana Resort and Club, Vista Cana, Playa Nueva Romana, Bayahibe, Playa Dorada. If your resort is not listed in this list please reach out to your resort to check for the latest rules regarding golf carts.
Do you deliver golf carts throughout the Dominican Republic?
Yes, we offer country wide golf cart rental services. We are the only golf cart rental company that has 4 locations in the country to service every major resort that allows golf carts. Some resorts have a free pickup and delivery service and some require a transport fee. Check your rental agreement for specific costs per resort.
My Airbnb/Vrbo host says that it cost to much to charge a golf cart, is this true?
No, this is not true. Charging a golf cart to full charge costs usually much less than a dollar. This is a fraction of the cost compared to operating air conditioning systems during your stay at your accomodation.
Am I allowed to drive my golf cart on beaches?
No, you are not allowed to drive your rented golf cart on the beach. This can lead to damage to electrical components and rust. All damages are at your expense and salt water damage can be very expensive.
