Another reason why the Eco Cross has better drivability is the suspension. You will discover this when you are driving on roads with speed bumps or more uneven terrain. The springs and the suspension of the ECO Cross are much bigger and therefore provide for a much more comfortable ride.

Besides stability another big difference is the fact that the ECO Cross has a much higher top speed (40 kph against 30 kph). This matters a lot if you are operating your golf cart in a big resort like Casa de Campo or Cap Cana. You will arrive much quicker at your destination.

Both the ECO Cross and the Club Car Onward are available with lithium batteries. The ECO Cross standard has lithium batteries included and Club Car provides lithium as an option (for a very high price). Only if you choose the most expensive Club Car Extended Range Lithium Battery you will have a battery that has similar range. But even then the Eco Planeta Li4power lithium battery has 5 Ah more.

Club Car does not disclose the discharge rate of its battery, but we assume that it is lower than the discharge rate of the Li4power, because the Club Car has a motor controller with lower amperage than the ECO Cross amperage. You will also discover the difference when you are driving uphill or with a lot of cargo onboard. The ECO Cross will simply accelerate and climb faster than the Club Car Onward.

Technology

There are big differences in technology if you compare both golf carts. The main difference is that each ECO Cross comes standard with ECO Planeta IQ. ECO Planeta IQ lets you as an owner better protect and manage your golf cart. With Eco Planeta IQ your phone turns into a digital key that lets you lock and unlock your vehicle. And you can easily share keys with friends and family via email. You will also always know where your golf cart is located via live GPS tracking, what the voltage is and who is driving it. All features that Club Car does not offer.

Another difference is that the ECO Cross has an electromagnetic brake. That means if you parked your vehicle and locked it with Eco Planeta IQ, you cannot move your vehicle, because the electromagnetic brake directly attached to the motor is engaged. That makes it much more difficult to steal the vehicle.

Comfort

Great seats are very important for comfort. The seats of the ECO Cross are more luxurious. They provide much more support. ECO Cross seats have real arm rests, very broad back support and neck support. Club Car Onward seats provide limited back support and no arm rest support and no neck support.

Another big plus is that all passengers in the ECO Cross have a luxury seat. No more fighting! If you are one of the unlucky passengers that has to sit in the last row on a Club Car Onward, you will be sitting facing backward in the least comfortable seats.
